Steve Cone taught upholstery for many years through Century College in Minnesota, and was responsible for the development of their degree program. He’s written countless articles for The Upholstery Journal and is the author of Singer: Upholstery Basics, Plus. He also has an educational video available through Rowley. Before retiring in 2004, he owned a operated a busy storefront in St. Paul under the name, “Cone Upholstery.”  He’s been a teacher and mentor to hundreds of students, and continues to be an exceptionally respected name in the field of upholstery education.

About Cynthia . . .

Cynthia has been working as a professional upholsterer since 2001 and teaching since 2010. In 2008 she won a first place craftsmanship award through The Upholstery Journal for a tufted chair. She was a featured presenter at the 2015 Minneapolis Junk Bonanza, with appearances on Kare 11 and Fox 9.  She’s also presented at numerous events for the Professional Upholstery Association of Minnesota. Her online Craftsy class, “Getting Started with Upholstery” has over 5,000 students. She currently works and teaches at her shop in St. Paul.
